Sheffield Music Mural
Client: Zizzi Restaurants

These murals for Zizzi Ristorante are based around the rich musical heritage of the city of Sheffield. The main wall is a depiction of the city centre, but look closer and the map’s street names are song titles with the year in which they were released alongside - turning it into a giant quiz! For example, one street is named ‘Sing It Back (1998)’ – the answer is the alternative dance act Moloko. The corridor features stylised album covers, also showing only the release date.
The work was produced on-site entirely by hand using acrylic and emulsion.
